For what it’s worth, Mitch Barnhardt made a statement in support of Tubby:
“Tubby’s our basketball coach,” athletic director Mitch Barnhart told The Associated Press on Monday. “He’s done a great job of representing the platform of Kentucky basketball. We’ll always look to make adjustments to the things we’ve got to do to get better. Tubby and I will do that collectively.”
It’s probably not enough for some UK fans to get off the subject and focus on basketball, but it is for me. I’m very much looking forward to the Villanova game.

anyone heard the newest rumor?- that matta to uk…i know i thought it was crazy but who knows…it would be dumb for him to leave with the class coming in for him next year and a few hold overs from this year…why would he want to rebuild another team…back to reallity, tubbs does not seem to be going anywhere…hes got barnhardt, pitino and especially orbzut all over his testicles…your right danny, tubby needs to let him self go, he doesn’t have to call it being fired but instead leaving for personal reasons…this would make everyone happy…also i heard of another rumor, former womens coach pokey chatmen at lsu is not the only d1 coach suspected of having sexual relations with their players…I have orbzut and ole gimel martinez have gotten a lil close to tubbs…is there any truth to this Shoot?

Yes Spooner everything you mentioned is purely speculation at this point in time, but new evidence is being revealed specifically about the sex scandel involving the Polish Hammer and an ol’ fan fave G MART possibly getting a little bit too touchy with Rub A Dub Tub, further investigation is pending… Please don’t call me a lier J Dog im just given a run down of the ol’ Rumor Mill, if this is true it should be the end of the 20 win, 10+ loss Tubby coached teams, I thought that’s what you wanted Johnson?

Thats reminds me of something.
“Rex Grossman is our quarterback” - Lovie Smith. Maybe a Smith connection thingy going on here? What was that thing that happened to the Bears in the Super Bowl? Oh yea, they lost. Why was that again? Because Rex cant stand to not throw the ball deep.
I compare this to Tubby still being our coach because its sad, but true that Rex will be the Bears quarterback next year, and that also Tubby will be our coach next year. Very sad. I’m just hoping next year is the last.
Or, I dont want them to lose, but if they Villanova beats them, I dont want to see what Tubby’s house looks like when he returns to Lexington. Also. Uhm. I hope he has his bags packed if he loses. The only reason Barnhart endorsed him was to basically say: “We’ll stick by you if you want to make this better, but if you screw this up, you’re gone.” And I think losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament would count as screwing it up.
