Randolph NBA Bound

by webmaster

Randolph Morris has left the building. For the New York Knicks and I can’t blame him one bit. It’s apparently a two year deal for $1.6 mil. I wonder if he would have stuck around if Tubby would have stayed? Who knows.

Something weird about this story, is that I read about it at 2:30 today over on Kentucky Sports Radio. That’s not very unusual because the crew over there usually does a good job at breaking stories such as this. But in this case it was by someone that left a comment. Check out this post over there. Scroll down to comments #129 and 134. This guy, Randy21, already knew. Very interesting.

By the way, I just thought of something. Does anyone know what Sheray was suspended for at the beginning of last season?

Hey! You can re-name this site:

    “Fire Mitch Barnhardt”

  2. John Says:

Fire Mitch Barnhart because of morris leaving? Your a moron.

  3. Tubby Must Go Says:

You AND your Momma are morons…the word you should have used is a contraction…YOU’RE (You Are)…not “Your”…linguistically speaking, “Your a Moron” actually has no decipherable meaning.

It does show that “you’re” grammatically-challenged. You should have stayed in school.

However, I wasn’t referring to the fact that Randolph is leaving…I just posted it at the top of the website so the webmaster would see it….

No, Fire Barnhardt for not firing Tubby after “Team Turmoil”.

  4. Jeff Says:

I said it once, I’ll say it again: Morris is not good enough for the NBA (though he’ll probably fit in well with the Knicks…)

  5. Jeff Says:

    from ESPN.com:

“Kentucky is now trying to figure out how the departure of Morris, who averaged 16.1 points and 7.8 rebounds a game this season for the Wildcats, before spring semester’s end will affect the school’s academic progress report.

Under the new APR, schools are subject to scholarship penalties if student-athletes leave early and not in good academic standing. Withdrawing from school before the end of a semester can seriously impede a team’s GPA and academic standing. To that end, Texas and Ohio State are taking steps to ensure freshmen Kevin Durant and Greg Oden will finish the spring semester.”

So, am I reading this wrong, or did Morris just screw the entire Kentucky team over? Someone explain this to me.

  6. webmaster Says:

It may hurt some but it seems like this was an “academically” smart team.

    See here.

The other player’s grades should be enough to pick up the slack for the semester. You would hope anyway.

  7. John Says:

Hey you can insult me all you want but you leave my mom outta it. That crap is uncool and uncalled for.

  8. Daniel Says:

Speaking of uncalled for John your mom hasn’t called me lately, what’s up with that. She know I love her long time.

  9. Daniel Says:

I’m glad Morris is gone, another player with no heart out of the picture…honestly, the only player leaving that I would be concerned about is Meeks, the rest of them, I don’t know about. I thought Crawford was going to be a real star and instead he turned into the next Azibuike.

  10. J. Philly Says:

Crawford, “the next Azibuike”? Please, elaborate on that.

Anyway, back on topic, I wholly disagree with the people that say Morris doesn’t have heart. Sure, he’s not the most outwardly emotional of people, but I don’t believe for a second that he played this season with apathy. He carried the team through the limited success they had in post-season, something that just doesn’t come from a player that doesn’t care.

Just because he doesn’t roar and beat his chest every basket doesn’t mean he doesn’t have heart. He was an asset to this team and will be missed.

  11. Randolph Morris Says:

Well, uhhhh, you know, uhhhhh, the knicks, uhhhh, they offered me sompin’ lie uhhhhyou know, uhhhh over a million uhhhh you know, dollars.

and uhhhh, you know, wiff coach smiff uhhh, you know, movin’ to uhhhhh, you know that uhhhh state uhhhh you know, wiff a big name uhhh you know, uhhh minnasootahhhhhh, you know,

uhhhh, well you know, I jes uhhhh, you know, thought it was uhhhhh, you know, a good time uhhhh, you know, to bail…

I was uhhhh you know gettin’ uhhhhh you know, out moooed in the uhhhh you know, low post uhhhh you know….so uhhhhh you know, this move uhhhhh you know, to the uhhhh you know NBA, uhhhhh, you know, might get me some uhhhhh, you know, coaching I need…

  12. Tubby Must Go Says:

    YO JOHN!

OK, I’ll leave your mommy out of it…But don’t call people a moron and then whine about their response…

I’m required by law to one-up every insult I receive.

  13. AKA # 1 Wildcat fan Says:

Meeks, Porter, Jasper, Crawford …….. All gone watch

  14. Tubby Must Go Says:

When Billy D comes (He said that decision was up to UK…sounds like he’s ready to come) he’ll bring his recruits with him. We’ll be OK. Even if we lose 10 next year, we’d have been worse off with the tubster…

Tubby knew Morris was leaving and he knew he couldn’t produce next year. Tubby would have been fired next year, so he quit before he was fired…either way, next year was going to be his last.

You Tub-lovers need to get over it…Go Coach Donovan and Go Cats!!

  15. Daniel Says:

Azubuike looked like a star and became, well, a good player but not a star by any means, kinda like Crawford. Only person I’m concerned with losing is Meeks, but if we get a great coach why would good players leave? Makes no sense.

  16. AKA # 1 Wildcat fan Says:

Why would they leave cause u cant trust an AD like MB he’s going to f it up man! i will always love the cats but to blame Tubby is wrong…..he wouldnt fire his staff b/c he knew it wasnt them….MB didnt support him thats y the recruits we shouldve gotten didnt come here. when u have two of the best highschoolers saying they r coming b/c of the coach and ur AD doesnt come out and say he’s our guy we’re sticking with him…. then of course they say oh he cant recruit….. So who’s fault is that……

    Not a Tubby Lover…. A Mitch hater….. Go Cats!!!!!

    P.S. U all r not Cat fans!!!!!!!

  17. Daniel Says:

I see what you’re saying but still, Bradley and Crawford would be seniors, i think they’d rather finish up next year under a better coach then have to sit out a year. Meeks is going to be a star at UK, so he shouldn’t leave either. The rest don’t concern me, if they want to leave go for it. Instead of worrying about leaving Jasper should be in the gym putting up 500 jumpshots a day for the next five months.

Sheray was suspended for drinking alcohol and getting caught.
