It was kind of a shock to me anyway. In the debut of the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll the Cats are ranked 22nd in the nation.
Incidentally, Tennessee and their great saviour (who could be the special guest at your next family barbecue for only $5,001) check in two spots below UK at number 24. I was starting to get a little depressed today until I saw this poll. I thought this seasons forecast, (much like today’s weather) was going to be “90% chance of rain, and then thunderstorms, man“. But i’ve found a spring (possibly March?) flower.

anyone that does not think lsu us better does not watch college bball. Glen davis tears up everyteam he plays. the only player i can remember matching him is eric hicks. tack minor is back who also did a lot of the dismantling of the cats two years ago. Stop and think before to throw out random insane comments. Kentucky maybe better but, i can think of 6 better in the sec right now, including the wiz kids from vandy.

Your out of your mind if you think Vandy is better than the cats. LSU is a great team with lots of talent but you cant count the cats out that easy. I mean we dont have all those national titles for sucking. My pick Kentucky 82 LSU 75!!!

I think that jims point bout those wiz kids from vandy is a valid one. They possess much more experience than the cats and there coach actually knows how to play to his players strengths. Another factor for the Dores this year and the whole SEC will be the play of Ross Nelter who transfered from LSU after learning a few things from big baby and all the other diaper dandys down there in the bayou. Ross was kentucky MR. BASKETBALL and tubby didn’t even give him a look, look for Ross to explode onto the scene this year and once again make tubby look a fool for his recruiting (CHRIS LOFTON). LSU, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Vandy, Auburn, are all above UK at this point with Miss, Miss st., Georgia even with the Cats. UK has good young talent to compete, we just have to wait and see if tubby lets them play their game, or if they play the slow boring pace of the tubbster. This will be a true test for tubs too see what he can do with his own talent, and not pitinos, the time is now to bring UK back to the elite of college bball. Also Go Bearcats!!! 3 wins, 0 losses, without there two best players eligible.

Jail? i know some got in trouble but i do not recall jail…but the fact is he had always recruited better than tubby and that scares me, and it was conference usa. If getting in trouble makes your team a top defensive team, ill take it…the only knock i would put on uc is their inability to win in the tourney even with talented teams. I dont know why but these kids want to be on huggins team, even in manhattan kansas.
