C’mon, Big Money! No Whammies!

by The Fake Gimel Martinez
Billy D sizing up the money

ESPN.com is reporting that our offer will be $2.8 Million a year for 7 years, with a possible $3.5 Million after incentives. Barring the incentives, that’s $19.6 Million for the lifetime of the contract.

I think Florida has the ability to match this figure, as Ryan has said. But I don’t see how they pay Billy more than Urban, which means Urban has to get more than the $14 Million over 7 years in his current contract. The numbers Ryan sites in his article means that making both Urban and Billy happy is doable, but whether it will be done is up to Florida’s Administration.

By the way, I have no idea who did that box-o-money picture above. If that is your picture, please let me know and I’ll be sure to give you proper credit.

I know people are thinking that UF will not pay Bil more than Urban but they are wrong. UF will match any offer UK puts on the table and Urban wont complain because of Billy’s success. If Billy comes to UK (and I hope he does) it wont be because of the money.

I like it when dumb, redneck trash gets on here and steals my name because they can’t think of anything else to do with their pathetic, meaningless life, boy, those jokes are original.

No new coach should be paid any more that Tubby was until they can prove they can actually do more at Kentucky than Tubby did. I don’t think a new coach should even get Tubby’s money until they prove they can do at least as well as he did. Offer the new guy a good salary, and then increase it and add bonuses if and when the wins come. But throwing money at anyone - no matter how well they did elsewhere - is silly. I don’t care what they did at B.F.U. - I wanna see what they can do at U.K. And I wanna see it before I hand out a lot of big bucks. It better be at least as good as what we had, and what we lost. Prove it on the court. Period.
