Billy says no and Kentucky fans pitch a hissy. The Cats Pause servers are probably going to catch fire any minute now.
The low point may not have been reached yet. If at the 4pm press conference the Florida junior class announces they are staying(they’re gone), and Patterson and Lucas decide over the next few days they are going elsewhere UK Athletics and LFUCG may have to call in grief counselors.
Who is next on your list? Donovan was the overwhelming choice last time.

Looks like all you Tubby haters and unrealistic people, have egg all over your faces. Billy is staying put, that there is FUNNY! HAHA
Looks like you will have to go with that second rate coach and be appy being a .500 team.
Looks like Kentucky basketball is going in the tank. Thanks to the many great basketball minds in Kentucky. HILARIOUS!
Good thing you guys started this site so you could get Tubby out and some Division 2 or mid major coach into UK.
I am so excited I can’t wait to see how good they will be next year.

You didn’t look around much did ya?

You don’t know much about basketball do you Dave?

Billy was the closest thing to an obvious “step-up” from Tubby. All of these other choices are steps sideways, especially when you look at long-term stats, coach-by-coach. Bleh.

dave:
A final four more than once in 10 years is unrealistic? Go count the final fours Duke, UNC, Uconn, etc. have been to in the last 10 years and then come back to me.

The four juniors are leaving. Check ESPN.com

Dave, just because Pitino hasn’t done crap@ UofL and took the Big Blue to a few final 4’s and oh yea a NCAA championship, don’t hate us and don’t worry about us we’ll be fine. Tubby was a fine man but sucked as a UK coach he would have fit right in @UofL because you don’t expect to win. Write it down Dave, WE WILL BE BACK!! Go John Pelfrey or Travis Ford.

Obviously good ole DAVE doesn’t know much about basketball tradition and nothing about a winning program. Don’t worry Dave, we won’t come after Tricky Ricky. He’s still trying to get someone to listen to him when he says he’s not interested in Kentucky! UK fans simply don’t care enough to care.
Marilyn - I love Pelfrey or Ford but they are not ready for the UK program yet.

KyBlue, who do you like?

Please UN-photoshop our UK logo off that Florida blue pajama suit!!! Whoever gets the UK job….all we ask is, Bring back the EXCITEMENT!!

There was plenty of excitement this year for those who wanted to see it … 72-plus ppg against the nation’s toughest schedule, some developing quick break passes from Ramel to different freshmen, Sheray having two guys fall off him and still standing tall, Joe taking it to the hole through a forest, a much better season than last and much promise for next … but the hate blinded many eyes to the good things and greed based on lies made it worse.
You don’t like the coaching or the pace or the style? Stay home and let the rest of us fill the arena. You have no right to demand anything of the UK coach, no standing to insist on anything other than honesty and compliance with the regulations, and no place to complain as if you knew any better and could do any better - and you know it.
NO SCHOOL can guarantee a Final Four trip every nine years or so without cheating. That’s the way the ball bounces. We could bring Phil Jackson in here, and cook the books so Kobe could enroll as a freshman, and still have no guarantee of a Final Four appearance any time soon.
Every sports team goes through droughts and there IS more to UK basketball than just winning Final Fours at any cost. No wonder little Billy D stayed in Florida.
Of course, in this country, you do have the right to make a fool of yourself publicly and insist on whatever insanity you like - the problem is, enough whiner losers made enough noise to make the whole Commonwealth look stupid by association. And they scared off a fine man and winning coach.
Good luck with Billy G!
